Granada

De most famous attraction of this city is the Alhambra, the Moorish fort from the middel ages. The Alhambra is famous for many things, the Alcazab a.o., the old part with its mighty towers from which the view is magnificent. After the visit you could visit the city center by descending from the Plaza Nueva, the center of town. If you would like to visit the Alhambra, you will have to reserve tickts in advance through the internet.

The village is situated next to a deep gorge that splits the village in two. Ronda can be visited easily in a single day, since the old part is small. If you visit Ronda, make sure to visit the Plaza de Toros and the arena. It is the oldest, known bull fighting arena of Spain. Furthermore we advice you the palace Casa Del Rey Moro. The structure contains a staircase of 300 steps, which is carved out of the rocks to the bottom of the gorge. If you appreciate the local food, you can give Restaurante Pedro Romero a try. The restaurant is situated acrosss the arena.

Benahavís

This village is situated at a couple of kilometers from the appartment. It is a Spanish village, with many great restaurants.

San Pedro de Alcantára

San Pedro is great place to visit the nearby beach. Most beaches are perfect for families with children. The beach is close to the local harbour (which isn’t visible from the beach), the water is quiet and not deep. The beaches are a 10 minute drive from Los Arqueros. The beaches of the Costa del Sol Playo Playa del Christo are on a walking distance of the marina. The long beach avenue offers enough parking space, also on a sunny day.

Victor`s beach and Babaloo beach are the owners’ favorites. Mistral beach is situated between San Pedro and Puerto Banus with a panoramic view over a large part of the Costa del Sol. Calahonda has the longest beach of the Costa beach. The beach is 4,5 km long and 25 m wide. This beach has got everything and is perfectly suited for the whole family.

Córdoba

The city is located 120 metres above sea level and was once one of the major cities in the world. It was originally a Roman, Arab, Jewish and Christian city. There are numerous monuments remaining from that period including the Mozquita Cathedral, which is the most famous, and in 1984 it was top of the historic centre world heritage list.

Attractions for children

Aqualand, Torremolinos
this is the biggest Aqua park in the costa del Sol.
It has slides and Laguna Tropical which is a mini park for children and much more.
It is open from mid may to mid September.

Aquarium Puerto Banús, Marbella
This is a beautiful under water world with many amazing sights to see such as sharks, squid and sunfish.

Costasol Cruceros, Benalmadena
Dolfins are often seen from a boat you can pick up at the port.

Grotten van Nerja
This is an excellent place to explore and discover the underground fairy world of the caves.

Lobopark, Antequera
Although this is not located on the Costa del Sol it is worth going inland to see the natural park, which is made up of more than 40 hectares. Once there you will see many different species of wolves in their natural habitat.
